Dr Yul Kim
Orthodontist, Dentist, Engineer
A natural tinkerer, Dr. Yul was initially trained as a computer engineer and worked in the software engineering industry in New Zealand for several years. His desire to work directly with people and with his hands has led him to pursue dentistry as his new career. After graduating with first-class honors at Griffith University he worked as a general dentist in both rural and metropolitan areas of Australia during which he gained a special interest in orthodontics. He then committed himself to becoming a specialist orthodontist by pursuing a further three years of post-graduate studies at The University of Adelaide.
Since the completion of the specialist training, he has worked in Adelaide Dental Hospital as a senior orthodontist as well as in other private orthodontic clinics in Adelaide. After moving around all over Australia for the past 12 years, he now has decided to settle down in beautiful Canberra to call home.
Dr Kim is passionate about creating the best smile using the latest digital technology. He attends conferences, both nationally and internationally, to learn and develop the best techniques available to provide efficient and fast treatment.
When Dr Kim is not with his patients, he is either working on small software projects, taking photographs, or playing the guitar, or the piano. He has a cheeky young girl, Zoe, who keeps him cheerful at all times.

Dr Yul is one of the finest Dentists in Canberra. I had to take my dad to him in an emergency and he helped him out. Dr Yul listened patiently to my dad and explained everything he was planning to do. he then performed a root canal treatment with great results.
